The Perfect Margarita Recipe
Get out the bottles of tequila because National Margarita day falls this month and it’s time to party! While you’ll need to pencil in February 22 as the official date to celebrate, we’re kicking things off a little early this year.
We did a little digging and there seems to be a pretty heated debate about the origin of the famous margarita. Some people believe the drink was invented by sassy socialite Margarita Sames in the late forties, while others argue it was the concoction of Mexican restaurant owner Carlos Herrera. They say his girlfriend was allergic to all alcohol (how unfortunate) except tequila. The only thing we do know is that the original margarita was made with tequila and salt was used to edge the rim of the glass. Just the way we like it!
Whether you’re into the classics or the frozen kind, the key to a perfect margarita is the right balance of sweet and sour. So to help you celebrate this momentous occasion, we thought we’d share with you our own fabulous recipe for the perfect margarita. But of course, with a Daniel San twist!
